For Dennis, officiating started as a way to stay connected to the sports he loved. What began as a part-time role soon became a passion for mentorship and leadership. Over the years, he has officiated countless games, refining his skills and learning the nuances of the profession. But beyond the whistles and the rulebook, Dennis realized the true value of officiating: helping young athletes develop respect, discipline, and teamwork through fair competition.
Dennis didn’t just stop at officiating. He saw the need for strong leadership in referee development and retention, which led him to become an assignor. Through Dream Big Sports Officials, he has built a program that provides structured mentorship, reliable scheduling, and fair compensation for referees. His goal is to create a positive, professional officiating culture that keeps officials engaged and continuously improving.
